A complete polishing workflow from contouring to a high gloss finish.
Lemgo, October 12, 2026 – PolyFlow brings structure and consistency to the finishing of modern polymer restorations. With a complete, coordinated workflow from contouring and pre-polishing to a high-gloss finish, Komet helps dental technicians achieve reliable results across a wide range of materials and fabrication methods.
One workflow for a growing range of materials
Today’s laboratories work with a growing range of polymer materials, from PMMA and high impact polymers to composites and 3D printed resins. As more material options become available, delivering a consistent finish across every restoration becomes increasingly important.
With PolyFlow, Komet introduces a polishing system designed specifically for modern polymer materials. The complete polishing workflow guides users from contouring and pre polishing to a high gloss finish, helping achieve consistent finishing results for milled, 3D printed and conventionally fabricated restorations.
From individual techniques to a structured workflow
“Today’s digital workflows are more standardized than ever. The finishing process, however, often depends on individual techniques and preferences,” says Jan Isenberg, Product Manager at Komet. “Rather than developing just another polisher, we developed a complete workflow that guides users through the final finishing stage.”
The right instrument for every step
That’s where PolyFlow makes the difference. Every instrument is designed for a specific purpose, with its shape, abrasiveness and intended use working together to deliver controlled, material specific finishing. Flexible lamella wheels adapt to different geometries, making it easy to finish surfaces, contours and hard to reach areas. PolyFlow is suitable for splints, temporary restorations, dentures and other polymer based restorations.
Everything in its place
In addition to the finishing instruments, the system includes a diamond polishing paste and a dressing block to help maintain the polishers. The distinctive wave shaped instrument block visually reinforces the workflow and intuitively guides users through every step. Every instrument has a clearly designated place.
PolyFlow makes finishing a seamless part of the workflow, helping technicians achieve consistent, high quality results across a wide range of polymer restorations.
