The Komet contribution to aligner therapy

Innovative instruments from the expert for optimal and safe treatment.

Lemgo, March 6, 2023 – Nowadays, the adjustment of misaligned teeth is not only for teenagers. No matter how old patients are: Straight teeth and a naturally aesthetic smile are desired by everyone. Thus, the demand for corresponding treatments rises continuously – and so do the requirements and solutions within the dental industry.

Regarding this, aligner therapies become more and more important when treating misaligned teeth. Komet Dental offers a considerable portfolio that provides suitable instruments for the interproximal enamel reduction (IPR) in particular.

During IPR, the oscillating segment discs enable accurate removal of enamel in all usual interproximal removal sizes. In addition, their slim design allows an unobstructed view on the treatment site – providing extra safety during the procedure.

Recently, Komet extended its portfolio of oscillating discs. The latest addition now allows the safe removal of enamel from the very first point of contact. Dentist benefit from the uncoated center of the new disc as it facilitates the initial separation even in close-set teeth.

Furthermore, Komet’s adhesive removers are particularly effective when removing adhesive residues, as they remove adhesive leftovers efficiently. For the final touch, Komet’s polishers and their soft abrasive enable a gentle finish of the aligner treatment.

Behind all these instruments stands Komet Dental. The 100-years old company from Lemgo, Germany, develops innovative solutions for more efficiency and safety in the dental industry – to enable optimum results for both patients and dentists.
