Lemgo, January 13, 2025 – State-of-the-art motor. Developed to meet customer requirements.

EnDrive, Komet’s latest endodontic motor with integrated apex locator and cordless handpiece, is designed to meet the individual requirements and wishes of dentists and endodontic specialists, making their business economical, simple and safe.

Tedious manual preparation, reluctance to change habits or invest in future-proof technology, cumbersome software updates, restrictions due to cables that get in the way or expiring battery life as well as inaccurate or delayed apex measurements – endodontic treatments present their users with a variety of personal challenges.

Solution for individual requirements

“Endo has many requirements. Here is the solution” is the promise that Komet makes to its customers with the latest EnDrive endo motor. The motor, consisting of a compact main unit and a magnetically clip-on handpiece, makes Endos economical, simple and safe. It has been available in Germany since January.

Dentists know how important it is in the daily practice routine to provide smooth treatments while at the same time ensuring that the processes involved are as safe as possible. The efficiency of treatments and therefore practice capacity utilization can be increased and costly interruptions and downtime can be avoided if the tool does exactly what it is supposed to do for the user. This is where the EnDrive comes into its own, meeting customers’ requirements and wishes.

Economical thanks to efficient treatment processes

The new option of convenient software updates via WLAN saves resources, time and effort. The easy-to-use, clearly laid-out 7-inch color and touch display provides all values and controls at a glance, allowing users to focus on the patient instead of the technology. With a maximum battery charging time of 1.5 to 2.5 hours, the EnDrive is always ready for use – if you have forgotten to charge it, the main unit and handpiece can also be charged during treatment.

The integrated calibration function ensures that the contra-angle of the EnDrive works optimally and that the set torque is transmitted precisely. There is no need for an additional silicone cover because the contra-angle handpiece is insulated. This conveniently prevents possible incorrect measurements in the event of unintentional contact in the oral cavity – for greater efficiency, fewer treatment breaks and interruptions.

Plug and play, convenience and intuitive operation

The EnDrive was developed so that users can stick to their habits during work. The comprehensive file library integrates almost all known endo files, including their presets, regardless of whether they are rotary or reciprocating and whether they come from Komet’s large portfolio or from other manufacturers. Users can not only continue to use their favorite files, the EnDrive also memorizes them and makes them available as a preferred choice. Operation is intuitive and requires little training – “plug and play”, so to speak.

The battery-operated handpiece also eliminates the need to pull and tug at cables. Thanks to its ergonomics, the handpiece is ideal for both left-handed and right-handed users. It is suitable for delicate work and enables maximum mobility. Its compact dimensions and low weight allow the device to be transported quickly and used on the tray. The main unit can be used in both vertical and horizontal direction, which is a great advantage, as it can be positioned flexibly according to preference and the available space.

Simply safe

Simplicity without compromise on safety: This includes, for example, the very small contra-angle head, which can be rotated 360° at any time to suit your preference. It guarantees the best possible view of the working area. For the first time, a handpiece provided by Komet can be attached to the motor thanks to a magnetic function. This not only simplifies quick transportation to the next room with just one hand. It also allows the handpiece to be put down quickly and safely, while reducing the risk of contamination. Before the maximum torque value is reached, the new LED ring on the handpiece alerts the user, thus reducing the risk of file fracture. The EnDrive’s auto-stop and auto-reverse functions also minimize the risk of file fracture and therefore treatment delays.

The highly precise apex localization helps users to perform the preparation exactly at the right time and in the right place. This reduces the risk of over-preparation. The patented system takes measurements with the utmost precision and in real time while treatment can continue. Thanks to the file clamp supplied, this also works in conjunction with manual files.

Driven by customer needs

With its wide range of established and new features, the EnDrive lives up to its promise to deliver the best solution for individual customer requirements – a promise that is deeply rooted in Komet’s DNA.

Lemgo, November 25, 2024 – Since its foundation in 1923, Komet has strived to provide excellent service and high-quality products for every step of the dental treatment. The new BioRepair Putty ties in seamlessly with this mindset and rounds off Komet’s endodontic portfolio.

Komet BioRepair presents itself as an “all-in-one” solution that helps dentists to simplify their processes. From pulpotomy to apogenesis and retrofilling, Komet covers eight indications and enables dentists to preserve their patients’ natural teeth for as long as possible – even in challenging cases.

Due to its innovative formula, the putty can both stimulate the patient’s healing process and ensure vitality preservation. These characteristics make BioRepair the perfect solution for standard treatment procedures, but is also particularly suited for treating challenging patients. Furthermore, the high alkaline pH value of ~12 help to inhibit bactericidal growth – a feature which is further enhanced by using a material that does not shrink during the setting process, leaving no space for bacterial infiltration.

In addition, dentists benefit from the easy application and consistently high Komet quality: The bioceramic putty comes as a ready-to-use solution. That way, user errors when mixing the material can be ruled out, and dental practices save both time and money.

Komet BioRepair – The new ready-to-use solution for vitality preservation.

Lemgo, March 6, 2023 – Komet from Lemgo, Germany, have been providing the dental world with groundbreaking innovations for 100 years now. Their new FQ-system proves yet again that experience is the best foundation for innovative products.

This range continues the success story of the well-loved systems F360 and F6. The name FQ stands for flexibility and the physical symbol for heat: The instruments are made of a heat-treated nickel-titanium alloy leading to more flexibility and cyclic fatigue resistance. The variably tapered file core of the taper .06 instruments is a patented innovation granting more flexibility and a better cutting performance. The instruments do not clog and ensure an optimum preparation time.

The development of the FQ-range was based on the dentists’ needs and demands. The material and the double-S cross section make the files more flexible and the treatment more efficient, because substance is removed faster – and the risk of file fracture is reduced to a minimum. The well-planned system of instruments grants a safe, reliable and time-efficient treatment – even of difficult teeth. Users confirm that operating the FQ-system makes them feel in control and at ease. This makes the FQ-series the best choice for everyone wishing for a comfortable endo-treatment.

Lemgo, March 6, 2023 – As an innovation for crown- and bridge-preparation, Komet’s DIAO has impressed users worldwide with its outstanding and long-lasting sharpness and its optimal controllability. Now Komet has expanded the DIAO range to reach more applications, allowing dentists to benefit from the superior performance of DIAO when preparing cavities too.

The unique coating combining diamonds with ceramic pearls ensures superior sharpness that lasts longer than other diamond instruments. Users also confirm DIAO’s excellent control during preparation. The application which requires only light pressure of the instrument, makes treatments not only more time-efficient but also less tiring.

The rose-gold colour makes the instruments easily recognizable when preparing for the next procedure and allows for easier reprocessing and reorders. In short: The practice processes become easier.

DIAO is an innovation from Komet, which is celebrating 100 years of innovations that have focused on making the dental procedures more efficient for the most demanding of dentists and enabling them to provide the highest standard of care to their patients.

Komet Dental expands range of instruments for cavity preparation

Innovative instruments from the expert for optimal and safe treatment.

Lemgo, March 6, 2023 – Nowadays, the adjustment of misaligned teeth is not only for teenagers. No matter how old patients are: Straight teeth and a naturally aesthetic smile are desired by everyone. Thus, the demand for corresponding treatments rises continuously – and so do the requirements and solutions within the dental industry.

Regarding this, aligner therapies become more and more important when treating misaligned teeth. Komet Dental offers a considerable portfolio that provides suitable instruments for the interproximal enamel reduction (IPR) in particular.

During IPR, the oscillating segment discs enable accurate removal of enamel in all usual interproximal removal sizes. In addition, their slim design allows an unobstructed view on the treatment site – providing extra safety during the procedure.

Recently, Komet extended its portfolio of oscillating discs. The latest addition now allows the safe removal of enamel from the very first point of contact. Dentist benefit from the uncoated center of the new disc as it facilitates the initial separation even in close-set teeth.

Furthermore, Komet’s adhesive removers are particularly effective when removing adhesive residues, as they remove adhesive leftovers efficiently. For the final touch, Komet’s polishers and their soft abrasive enable a gentle finish of the aligner treatment.

Behind all these instruments stands Komet Dental. The 100-years old company from Lemgo, Germany, develops innovative solutions for more efficiency and safety in the dental industry – to enable optimum results for both patients and dentists.
